The RS Class Association...
The RS Class Association comprises a group of Owners Clubs representing each of its eleven Classes.
The Owners Clubs are run by voluntary committees – by the sailors, for the sailors.
The volunteer committees are aided by part-time professional staff – Heather Chipperfield and Debbie Darling, who manage the racing,
social and coaching programme, and Joanne Boutle manages the membership and championship databases. This professional team provide the members with a
great service and allow the volunteer sailors to concentrate on ideas to help members get the most out of their RS boats.
The Assocation runs:
- RS Championships and Racing Circuits – approx. 140 events a year, many of which are the envy of the dinghy world
- Organises the lively social scene and coaching events, including on-line coaching. Manages the RS website, paper and e-Newsletters.
- Maintains the Class Rules – the fabric of our one-design classes, making sailing fair and interesting, critical to upholding the value of the
boats.
- Liaises with our wonderful Sponsors!
